Strategic Advisory Committee

A Strategic Advisory Committee provides guidance and advice to the Minister to help shape strategic directions of the Office for Learning and Teaching and to set priorities for the grants, fellowships and awards schemes.

The members of the Strategic Advisory Committee are:

• Professor Jane den Hollander - Vice-Chancellor, Deakin University
• Professor Deborah Terry - Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, The University of Queensland
• Professor David Sadler - Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Education) University of Tasmania
• Professor Judyth Sachs - Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, Macquarie University
• Professor Tim Brailsford - Vice-Chancellor and President, Bond University
• Ms Jade Tyrrell - National President, National Union of Students
• Ms Jeannie Rea - National President, National Tertiary Education Union

Standing Committees

Standing Committees have delegated responsibilities for the three elements of the Promoting Excellence in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Program: Grants, Fellowships and Awards initiatives. Standing Committees make recommendations to the Strategic Advisory Committee about fellowship nominations, grant applications and award nominations.
