This project established a national, accessible, online program to prepare practitioners to supervise social work and human services students during their practicum subjects. Resources include a project website linking to the masters level and free online subjects in student supervision, as well as to field education resources. Shared standards for quality student supervision in social work education that balance industry, professional and university requirements were developed.
The Resource Library contains a collection of higher education learning and teaching materials flowing from projects funded by the Commonwealth of Australia including those from the Australian Learning and Teaching Council.

Recommendations are made on reducing attrition in areas of admissions processes, curriculum change, bridging pathways, peer-mentoring, and active learning. Other project themes included the development of workshops to support engineering academics, the revision of Engineers Australia‘s competency standards for the three accredited engineering qualifications, and a review of pathways and access to engineering qualifications. Five leaflets address key issues from the report.
Enhancing student learning in the workplace through developing the leadership capabilities of clinical supervisors in the nursing discipline
This project aimed to build the leadership capacity of clinical supervisors in the nursing discipline by developing, implementing and systematically embedding a leadership model in the structure and practice of student supervision. The Leadership in Clinical Education (LaCE) program consisted of two structured workshops complemented by individual personal development projects undertaken by participants. A website providing access to a wide variety of information and other learning resources was developed.
Production of a prototype online leadership learning tool and system for Australia’s universities
This project provides a university-specific option for systematically and proactively addressing the leadership succession crisis faced by Australian and international universities. It shows how the active, situated, experiential, 'just-in-time' and 'just-for-me' approaches to learning, development and support (known to optimise university student engagement and retention), can be applied to the selection and support if its leaders. The Online Leadership Learning System (OLLS) allows access to practical strategies which experienced leaders in different roles have found helped them to perform effectively.
